Chamomile, also called camomila or kamilka, is one of the most famous medicinal herbs. It is a great antiseptic, accelerates the healing of wounds and burns (even from the sun) and prevents the formation of scars. It is also very important in the care of children - it can be given to infants without any problems. It is used to treat sensitive skin, but it is also suitable for dry, acnotic skin and skin affected by inflammatory conditions. Its soothing and healing effects are used to treat dry and wetting dermatitis or allergic skin symptoms. Chamomile induces general calming of the body and helps against states of anxiety, nervousness and tension.

Chamomile is quite abundant in nature, as it often grows as a weed in the fields. The active substances are obtained from the characteristic yellow-white flowers, which are dried in thin layers. Chamomile is already mentioned in Hippocrates and writes that the ancient Egyptians worshiped this flower of the Sun God as a miracle plant. The Greeks also used him to cure various diseases. Chamomile began to be used in medicine only about 250 years ago, mainly for its anti-inflammatory effects.
